Wrinkles impregnate the personality of our experiences into the canvas of our day to day reactions. They are a device of communication. I began with the image of a young girl, converted the image into a sampler defined by pixelated brightness, and used the portrait to print an open surface. The weighted knit performs with shadowed and lofty surfaces to sweep into the joining of the two opposing stories. Pathways were created in the cut-outs through Rhino plug-in Grasshopper and laser cut as invitation to the unraveling of a repurposed sweater.
